Share The Table

Expert Dinner Advice

At Barilla, we want to inspire everyone to share the values that have guided us for more than a century – a love of life, a devotion to quality, and a respect for tradition. Families have invited Barilla into their homes for generations, and now we're inviting them to connect at dinnertime and Share The Table.

From its founding 130 years ago to the present day, Barilla has been led by four generations of the same family. Today, three Barilla brothers – Guido, Luca, and Paolo – carry on the family's tradition and values. We have a deep belief that food is a joyful, convivial experience and a form of sharing and caring. In everything we make, we express our commitment to bring that experience to families around the world. Families have invited Barilla into their homes for generations, and now we're inviting them to connect at dinnertime and Share The Table.

Sharing Matters
It's no secret that connecting with others – particularly face to face – makes us feel better. But with packed schedules, distractions at the dinner table, and skipped meals, many families find it difficult to make the most of their time together.

To better understand the extent of the problem, Barilla conducted an extensive study of people's attitudes toward dining together. We found that roughly six in 10 people agree that they don't have as many opportunities to connect with their family or friends as they'd like. One in four say that sometimes it feels like their family is a disconnected group of individuals living under one roof.

But we also found that Americans associate shared meals with all sorts of positive benefits to themselves, their children, and society – particularly, creating stronger social connections. Our research was the first to look at the benefits of a connected dinnertime for both adults and children.

Join us in making a promise to Share The Table today – it's a great way to connect with your family and friends.

Sharing with People in Need
Barilla recognizes that not everyone has the same opportunity to enjoy a healthful and fulfilling dinner with family and friends. For each person who promises to "Share The Table," Barilla will donate a meal to Meals On Wheels Association of America, up to $150,000, to support senior nutrition programs serving more than one million meals per day.
