Roux is the mixture of flour and butter that is used as the base of various sauces, like a classic béchamel.




Ingredients for 4 people


3 ½ oz all-purpose flour
3 ½ oz butter


Preparation

Sieve the flour and add it to the butter. Mix with a whisk until it forms a smooth, uniform mixture.
