Whole Grain Medium Shells
With a shape that resembles a seashell, it is easy to see how the locals in the seaside communities of Naples and Genoa got their inspiration in the creation of Medium Shells, or Mezzo Conchiglie. Its graceful, concave shape is covered in ridges. Both the ridges and generous cup created from the hollowed curve allow this pasta to capture the flavor of the sauce added to this dish.

2. Add contents of package to boiling water. Stir gently.
3. Return to a boil. For authentic "al dente" pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 6 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil an additional minute.
4. Remove from heat. Drain well and serve as desired.
