3 ounces sliced Caciocavallo cheese
1/2 yellow onion
1 green pepper (sweet or hot)
2 leaves basil

Preparation 40 minutes preparation + 20 minutes cooking

Wash, peel, seed and cut tomatoes into pieces. Add to sliced onion and oil and sauté for a few minutes.

Remove seeds from green pepper, cut into pieces and add to the pan with basil and salt. Continue cooking.

Peel and slice potatoes.

Boil pasta and potatoes in a pot of salted water.

Slice sausage and cheese.

Arrange a layer of potatoes in a large baking dish.

Cover with sauce and some of the sausage and cheese.

Add a layer of pasta, cover with sauce, sausage and cheese and continue this process until all ingredients are finished.

Cook in a preheated 400°F oven until the crust is golden brown.
