Ingredients for 4 people


1/2 box BARILLA Bowties
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3 garlic cloves minced
1/3 red onion chopped
4 Serrano chili peppers sliced
8 oz small mushrooms
1 small bunch Epazote minced and a full stem
Salt and pepper to taste
2 quarts chicken broth
3.5 oz Mexican Queso fresco crumbled



Preparation 35 minutes preparation + 20 minutes cooking
1. HEAT the oil in a skillet and cook the garlic and onions until translucent

2. ADD half of the peppers, the mushroom and four Epazote leaves

3. SEASON using salt and pepper and once the mushrooms are tender, remove the skillet from the heat

4. COOK the Barilla Bowties in chicken broth with a stem of epazote

5. ADD salt and pepper to taste

6. Once the Bowties are cooked add the mushroom mix

7. BRING it to a boil

8. SERVE with grated cheese on top and garnish with the rest of the epazote
