Barilla® Fettuccine with Mushroom Sauce & Italian Sausage

Ingredients for 8 people

1 BOX Barilla® Fettuccine
1 JAR Barilla® Mushroom Sauce
1/3 CUP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 CUP White Onion Julienne
1 POUND Italian Sausage Crumbled
1 TABLESPOON Fresh Parsley Chopped
1/2 CUP Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese Freshly Grated

Preparation 5 minutes preparation + 20 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a a boil

2. HEAT olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat

3. Add onions and sauté until golden, about 5 minutes

4. Add crushed red pepper flakes, if desired

5. ADD sausage and cook 5-7 minutes until brown and cooked through

6. ADD Mushroom Sauce and continue cooking 3-5 minutes until sauce is heated through

7. Set aside

8. COOK Fettuccine according to package directions

9. Drain and immediately add to hot sauce

10. Mix well

11. Transfer to a serving platter or bowl

12. GARNISH with chopped parsley and grated cheese
