Ingredients for 4 people


1 BOX Barilla® Linguine
3 TABLESPOONS Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Large Shallot
4 CLOVES Garlic Minced
1/2 CUP White Wine
1 1/4 POUND Fresh Littleneck Clams Rinsed
2 Plum Tomatoes Chopped
1/4 CUP Fresh Parsley Chopped
1 TABLESPOON Butter
1/4 TEASPOON Salt
1/4 TEASPOON Black Pepper Freshly Ground
8 OUNCES Green Beans Trimmed
Coarsely Chopped



Preparation 15 minutes preparation + 18 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil

2. HEAT olive oil in large skillet over medium heat

3. Add shallot and garlic; sauté 2 minutes

4. Add wine and clams; cover

5. SIMMER about 10 minutes or until clam shells are opened

6. Remove clams from skillet; cool

7. Remove clams from shells; chop and set aside

8. ADD tomato to skillet; continue cooking 5 minutes to reduce slightly

9. Add clams, parsley, butter, salt and pepper; stir until butter is melted

10. COOK Linguini according to package directions, adding green beans during last 5 minutes of cook time

11. Drain and return to pot

12. ADD clam mixture to hot Linguini; toss

13. Transfer to serving platter or bowl
