Ingredients for 4 people


1/2 BOX Barilla®Mezzi Rigatoni
1 CUP Heavy Cream
3/4 CUP Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese Freshly Grated
3/4 CUP Red Wine
1 TEASPOON Sugar
1 Fresh Ripe Pear



Preparation 20 minutes preparation + 25 minutes cooking
1. BRING a pot of water to a full boil

2. Add salt to taste

3. ADD pasta and cook 10 minutes

4. Drain well and place pasta on a large sheet pan

5. DRIZZLE with a little olive oil and let cool

6. Parmesan Cheese and Pear Poached in Red Wine Filling: BOIL the heavy cream in a small saucepan

7. Add Parmigiano cheese and stir until melted

8. Let cool 15-20 minutes

9. ADD wine, sugar and cinnamon to a separate medium sauce pan on the stove over medium heat and reduce for 6 minutes

10. CUT pear into small inch cubes

11. POACH pear in wine mixture for 2 minutes

12. Let cool

13. FILL Rigatoni with Parmigiano cheese filling and place each Rigatoni in a miniature paper liner

14. GARNISH each Rigatoni with a pear cube placed on top
