Ingredients for 6 people


1 box Barilla® Mini Penne
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
6 ounces diced cooked ham
2 cups milk
1 cup frozen pea
¼ cup minced fresh chive
1 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese



Preparation 10 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil

2. HEAT oil and ham in a medium skillet over medium-high heat

3. Sauté for 2 minutes or until the ham is starting to brown

4. ADD milk, bring to a boil and simmer for 7 minutes, or until reduced by half, stirring constantly

5. ADD peas, and continue to simmer for 2 more minutes

6. Meanwhile, COOK the Mini Penne according to the package directions

7. Drain and toss the pasta with the sauce; season with salt and pepper

8. FINISH sauce with the chives and Parmigiano cheese

9. Serve immediately
