Ingredients for 5 people


1 BOX Barilla®Oven-Ready Lasagne
1 POUND Italian Sausage
4 Leeks
2 TABLESPOONS Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 CUPS Milk
4 TABLESPOONS Flour
4 TABLESPOONS Butter
2/3 CUP Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese Grated



Preparation 15 minutes preparation + 40 minutes cooking
1. CLEAN and cut the leeks into small squares

2. REMOVE casing from sausage

3. Crumble in a pan with the olive oil and brown for 5 minutes

4. ADD leeks and cook 5 additional minutes

5. Set aside

6. MELT butter in a medium saucepan

7. Add the flour and cook for 3 minutes

8. BRING the milk to boil in a separate saucepan

9. Add milk to the butter and flour mixture

10. SIMMER for 5 minutes stirring constantly

11. COMBINE the sausage and leek mixture with the béchamel sauce

12. Season mixture with salt and black pepper to taste

13. SPOON a small amount of béchamel sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan

14. Build a total of 4 layers using 4 sheets of Lasagne and 1/4 of the sauce mixture for each layer

15. End with the sauce on the top layer

16. Sprinkle top layer with Parmigiano cheese

17. BAKE for 30 minutes at 350°F

18. Allow Lasagne to rest 10 minutes before serving
