Ingredients for 7 people


1 BOX Barilla® PLUS® Penne
1 JAR Barilla® Marinara Sauce
2 TABLESPOONS Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 CLOVE Garlic Chopped
1 TABLESPOON Fresh Thyme Chopped
1 POUND Hot Italian Sausage
1/2 CUP White Wine
1 CUP Water
1/2 CUP Romano Cheese Grated



Preparation 10 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil

2. SAUTÉ chopped garlic and thyme with oil over medium heat until the garlic turns light yellow

3. ADD sausage and sauté for 5 minutes or until browned and cooked through, breaking into pieces

4. Deglaze with white wine; reduce well

5. ADD Marinara Sauce, a cup of water and simmer for ten minutes or until the sauce is at the right consistency

6. COOK pasta according to directions

7. Drain and toss with the sauce

8. Sprinkle with cheese before serving
