Ingredients for 7 people


1 BOX Barilla® ProteinPLUS™ Penne
¼ CUP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
½ CUP White Onion Chopped
2 CLOVES Garlic Minced
1 POUND Asparagus Trimmed Sliced On A Bias
2 ½ CUPS Cherry Tomatoes Halved
2 CUPS Yellow Squash Chopped
6 LEAVES Fresh Basil Cut Into Strips



Preparation 15 minutes preparation + 24 minutes cooking
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high Heat

3. Add onions and garlic

4. Sauté 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally

5. Add asparagus and continue 3 additional minutes

6. Add tomatoes and squash, sauté an additional 2-3 minutes, or until tomatoes are softened

7. SEASON with salt and pepper to taste

8. Cook pasta according to package directions

9. Drain pasta

10. Immediately Add hot pasta to the skillet

11. Mix well

12. TRANSFER to a serving bowl or platter, garnish with fresh basil strips and serve
