Ingredients for 8 people


1 box Barilla® Rigatoni
1 jar Barilla® Marinara sauce
1 large yellow onion (5 ounces) julienned
5 ounces pancetta julienned
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic whole
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 cup water
5 leaves basil chiffonade
½ cup Pecorino Romano cheese shredded



Preparation 12 minutes preparation + 12 minutes cooking
1. In a large skillet, SAUTÉ onion and pancetta in olive oil for about five minutes

2. ADD garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for three more minutes

3. ADD sauce and 1 cup of water, season with salt and simmer until the sauce is at the right consistency

4. COOK pasta according to package directions, drain and toss with the sauce and basil

5. TOSS with cheese before serving
