1 BOX Barilla® Rigatoni
2 Large Yellow Onions
2 TABLESPOONS Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 CLOVE Garlic Minced
1/4 TEASPOON Red Chili Pepper Flakes
6 OUNCES Italian Pancetta (May Substitute Bacon) Julienne
28-OUNCES Tomatoes Canned
3 CUPS Water
1/2 CUP Romano Cheese Freshly Grated
1/2 CUP Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese Grated
5 LEAVES Fresh Basil Julienne



Preparation 15 minutes preparation + 25 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil

2. CUT the onions julienne, sauté with olive oil for about five minutes

3. ADD garlic and pepper flakes, keep cooking for three more minutes, and add pancetta

4. SAUTÉ for five more minutes over medium heat, add tomatoes and three cups of water, season with salt and simmer until the sauce is at the right consistency

5. COOK Rigatoni according to package directions, drain and toss with the sauce, cheese and basil
