Ingredients for 4 people


1 PACKAGE Barilla® Three Cheese Tortellini - Family Size
1/3 CUP Italian Pancetta Cut Into Strips
1/4 CUP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/3 CUP White Onion Chopped
28 OUNCES San Marzano Tomatoes Canned Drained
2 TABLESPOONS Fresh Basil Chopped
1/4 CUP Heavy Cream
1/4 CUP Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese Freshly Grated
1 TABLESPOON Fresh Parsley Chopped



Preparation 10 minutes preparation + 29 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil

2. SAUTÉ pancetta in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy

3. Drain on a paper towel

4. Set aside

5. HEAT oil in the same skillet over low heat

6. Add onions and sauté 10 minutes until tender

7. ADD tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper

8. Simmer for 5 minutes

9. ADD heavy cream, bring to a boil

10. Let cool

11. PROCESS sauce mixture in a blender until smooth

12. Set aside

13. ADD Three Cheese Tortellini to boiling water and cook according to package directions

14. DRAIN and toss with sauce and cheese

15. Top with pancetta and chopped parsley
