Ingredients for 4 people


1 package Barilla® Veggie Penne
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 small onion sliced thin
1 clove garlic chopped
2 chicken breasts diced
2 red bell peppers diced
1 jar Barilla® Chunky Traditional Sauce
1 teaspoon dry oregano
½ cup romano cheese shredded



Preparation 5 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta 1 minute less than package directions

2. MEANWHILE in a large skillet over medium heat sauté the onions in olive oil until translucent

3. ADD the garlic and sauté for 1 minute

4. ADD the chicken and peppers sauté for 5-6 minutes or until browned and almost cooked through

5. ADD the sauce and ½ cup of water and bring to a simmer

6. DRAIN and toss the pasta with the sauce, cook for 1 minute in the skillet

7. REMOVE the pasta from the heat and toss with the oregano and cheese
