Ingredients for 4 people


1 box Barilla® Whole Grain Penne
½ jar Barilla® Marinara sauce
1 clove garlic
¼ cup almonds
1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese grated
divided
3 cups fresh arugula
½ cup + 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
salt and black pepper to taste



Preparation 10 minutes preparation + 12 minutes cooking
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil

2. In a small pan, gently heat the sauce

3. Meanwhile, in a blender, add garlic, almonds, 1/4 cup cheese and arugula; pulse for 10 seconds

4. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while pulsing and season with salt and pepper

5. Pour the pesto into a large bowl

6. COOK pasta according to package directions

7. Drain, reserving ½ cup of the cooking liquid

8. Add the cooking liquid to the pesto

9. Add pasta and stir to combine

10. To serve, place a small amount of the warm Marinara sauce at the bottom of a bowl, top with a scoop of pasta and garnish with 1/4 cup cheese
