Ingredients for 6 people


1 box Barilla® Whole Grain Penne
1 pound Italian sausage casing removed
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 jar Barilla® Traditional Sauce
½ cup water
1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley chopped
½ Parmigiano Reggiano cheese grated
salt and black pepper to taste



Preparation 5 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil, add salt

2. SAUTÉ sausage with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until golden brown in color

3. ADD sauce and ½ cup of water, season with salt and black pepper

4. COOK pasta according to package directions, drain pasta

5. ADD pasta to sauce and toss to coat

6. REMOVE skillet from heat

7. TOP with parsley and cheese before serving
