Ingredients for 4 people


1 package Barilla® Whole Grain Penne
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic chopped
1 sprig fresh rosemary chopped
½ pound Italian sausage
½ cup white wine
1 package mixed mushrooms (4oz) chopped
1 jar Barilla® Chunky Traditional Sauce
½ cup parmigiano cheese grated
1 tablespoon parsley sliced thin



Preparation 10 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta 1 minute less than package directions

2. MEANWHILE in a large skillet over low heat sauté the garlic and rosemary for1 minute

3. ADD the Italian sausage and over high heat cook until golden and brown

4. DEGLAZE with white wine and reduce completely

5. ADD the chopped mushrooms and saute for 1 minute then season with salt and pepper to taste

6. ADD the sauce and ½ cup of water and bring to a simmer

7. DRAIN and toss the pasta with the sauce, cook for 1 minute in the skillet

8. REMOVE the pasta from the heat and toss with the cheese
