Ingredients for 7 people


1 box BARILLA Whole Grain Penne
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic chopped
1 small onion diced
1 pound Italian sausage no fennel crumbled
1/2 cup white wine
1 pound mixed farmed mushrooms sliced
1 15-ounce can Italian style tomatoes diced
To taste salt
To taste black pepper
1 tablespoon parsley



Preparation
1. BRING a large pot of water to a boil

2. In a large skillet, sauté the garlic and onion in olive oil for about 4-5 minutes, or until onions are soft and translucent

3. REMOVE skin from sausage and brown well

4. DEGLAZE with white wine

5. ADD mushrooms and sauté for 2-3 minutes

6. ADD tomatoes and BRING to a simmer

7. SEASON with salt and pepper

8. COOK pasta according to package directions

9. DRAIN and TOSS with sauce and parsley
