Ingredients for 4 people


1 3/4 pounds flour
3 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
2 sticks + 2 tablespoons butter (17 1/2 tablespoons)
Lemon zest
grated
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup coarse white sprinkles
1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
1 egg yolk

Preparation 20 minutes preparation + 45 minutes cooking

In a food processor, mix butter and sugar until creamy.

Add eggs and milk in a stream with the motor running.

Sift flour with baking powder and add grated lemon zest.

Incorporate flour in the butter mixture.

Knead well. Shape into a loaf with your hands.

Line a baking sheet with oiled parchment paper and arrange the loaf of dough in an S-shape.

Brush surface with beaten egg yolk and dust with sugar sprinkles and confectioner's sugar. Bake in a preheated 375°F for 40 - 45 minutes.


Wine pairing

A dry dessert with good flavors provided by the lemon peel. We recommend a sweet, sparkling white wine that is a pale straw-yellow color with greenish highlights a delicate, fruity wine with an intense bouquet of hawthorn flowers with a harmonious and fairly persistent flavor. This sweet should be stored in a hermetically sealed, transparent plastic bag. Be careful to place it in the bag only when it has cooled completely.
