Chestnut and Chocolate Pudding

Chestnut and Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients for 4 people

1 pound + 5 ounces chestnuts
5 1/2 ounces dark chocolate
8 1/2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
cream to taste

Preparation 25 minutes preparation
1. Boil the chestnuts in lightly salted water

2. When the chestnuts are done, peel and puree in a food mill or food processor

3. Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler and add the warm chestnuts along with the sugar and butter

4. Stir the chocolate-chestnut mixture thoroughly for several minutes

5. Butter a rectangular baking pan, line it with wax paper and pour in the chocolate mixture, level with a spatula and cover with another sheet of wax paper

6. Cool in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours

7. Remove and cut into pieces of whatever shape you like (squares, hearts, flowers etc

8. ) Serve with a tablespoon of whipped cream on the side
