Gemelli with Walnut Sauce

First course

Ingredients for 4 people

1 box gemelli
2/3 cup heavy cream
½ cup walnuts
3 tablespoons butter
nutmeg to taste
salt and pepper to taste

Preparation 5 minutes preparation + 10 minutes cooking
1. Shell walnuts and grind with a pinch of nutmeg

2. Melt butter in a wide pan over medium heat and sauté ground nuts

3. Stir for about 30 seconds, add heavy cream and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly

4. Season with salt and pepper and remove from the heat

5. In the meantime, boil pasta in plenty of salted water according to package directions

6. Drain and toss with the prepared sauce and a couple of ladlefuls of cooking water, if the pasta is too dry

7. Combine and serve immediately
