Preparation 30 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking

In a bowl, mix wheat flour, extra-virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt, yeast and water and knead for 10-15 minutes.

Divide the dough into the desired number of pieces, cover with a towel or plastic wrap and allow to rise for about 30 minutes. Dust your working surface with semolina.

Cut each piece of dough into strips the size of one finger and roll in semolina. Stretch the dough by hand to about 12 inches to achieve the typical breadstick shape.

Bake in a moderate 350°F oven for about 30 minutes. The breadsticks will be ready when they take on a reddish golden color.
