Ingredients for 4 people

1 ¾ CUP Water
1 ¾ CUP Sugar
8 Fresh Lemons
3 LEAVES Fresh Basil

1. JUICE lemons to yield 1 cup lemon juice

2. COMBINE water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil

3. Boil for 1 minute or until sugar is completely dissolved

4. REMOVE from heat; stir in lemon juice and basil leaves

5. Cool completely

6. Remove basil leaves

7. TRANSFER mixture to a metal 13x9 pan

8. Freeze until firm, approx

9. 2-3 hours, stirring with a fork each half hour

10. GARNISH with lemon zest and julienne basil leaves
