Ingredients for 4 people

1 3/4 cup Water
1 3/4 cup Sugar
8 Fresh Lemons
3 leaves Fresh Basil

1. juice lemons to yield 1 cup lemon juice

2. combine water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil

3. boil for 1 minute or until sugar is completely dissolved

4.  remove from heat stir in lemon juice and basil leaves

5. cool completely

6. remove basil leaves

7.  transfer mixture to a metal 13x9 pan

8. freeze until firm, approx

9. 2-3 hours, stirring with a fork each half hour

10.   garnish with lemon zest and julienne basil leaves
