Neapolitan-style Mafaldine

First course

Ingredients for 4 people

1 pound mafaldine
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 28oz can of tomatoes
salt and pepper to taste
½ cup grated Pecorino cheese
1 clove garlic
4 basil leaves

Preparation 10 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking
1. Place a wide pan with the oil over medium heat and cook the garlic until it browns

2. Add the basil and the peeled tomatoes

3. Cook for about 15 minutes, adding salt and pepper to taste

4. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large pot of lightly salted boiling water for the time indicated on the package

5. Drain the pasta and dress it with the previously prepared sauce, the grated Pecorino cheese and serve
