2 cups milk
3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon cornstarch
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
4 oranges (juiced and zested)
Pinch of cinnamon
3 ½ tablespoons heavy cream
Orange zest to taste

Preparation 20 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking

Bring the milk to a boil in a pot over medium heat. In a bowl, whip yolks, sugar and cornstarch, then add milk. Return the mixture to the pot and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

When the custard is thick, remove from the heat and add orange juice and zest. Cool down by placing the pot in a larger bowl filled with ice and water.

Serve cold, in dessert bowls, with a dollop of whipped cream, a piece of candied orange peel and a dash of cinnamon.
