Ingredients for 4 people


8 Martin Sec pears

1 bottle Barolo wine


½ cup sugar


2 cloves




Preparation 15 minutes preparation + 1 hours cooking
1. Wash the pears but do not peel or remove stem

2. Arrange in a deep, wide pan

3. Sprinkle generously with sugar

4. Cover almost completely with wine and add cloves

5. Bake in a preheated moderate oven (350° F) for about an hour, until the wine has reduced to a thick syrup

6. Serve warm
