Ingredients for 4 people


1/2 BOX Barilla PLUS® Angel Hair
1 POUND Asparagus Trimmed Coarsely Chopped
1 TABLESPOON Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 POUND Medium Shrimp Peeled Deveined
1/2 CUP Red Bell Pepper Chopped
1/4 TEASPOON Red Chili Pepper Flakes
1 CUP Half-And-Half
1/2 TEASPOON Salt
1 Fresh Lemon
1/4 CUP Parmesan Cheese Freshly Grated



Preparation 20 minutes preparation + 12 minutes cooking
1. BRING a small saucepan of water to a boil

2. Add asparagus; boil for 30 seconds

3. Drain; rinse under cold water and set aside

4. BRING a large pot of water to a boil

5. HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat

6. Add asparagus, shrimp, red pepper and red pepper flakes; cook 5 to 7 minutes or until shrimp is cooked and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally

7. REDUCE heat to medium low

8. Stir in half-and-half and salt

9. Heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally

10. COOK PLUS(R) Angel Hair according to package directions; drain and return to pot

11. JUICE lemon to yield 2 tablespoons lemon juice and grate lemon peel to yield 2 teaspoons lemon zest

12. ADD shrimp mixture to hot pasta; toss

13. Add lemon juice and lemon zest; toss

14. TRANSFER to a serving platter; sprinkle with cheese and serve
