Ingredients for 4 people


1 pound thick spaghetti
4 anchovies in oil
4 tablespoons fresh breadcrumbs
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Pinch of chili pepper

Preparation 10 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking

Wash salt-packed anchovies in plenty of running water and bone them. Heat half the oil in a pan over low heat and add anchovies. Sauté for a few minutes until dissolved in the oil.

Heat remaining oil in a different pan over medium heat and sauté fresh breadcrumbs with chili pepper for 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.

Cook bucatini in plenty of boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain and toss with anchovies and toasted breadcrumbs. A traditional dish for Christmas Eve.
