Barilla® Capellini with Cherry Tomatoes & Basil

Ingredients for 8 people

  • 1 Box Barilla® Capellini
  • 1/4 Cup (63 mL) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Peeled
  • 1 Teaspoon (5 mL) Red Chili Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Pints Cherry Tomatoes Halved
  • 5 Leaves Fresh Basil
  • ½ Cup (170 g) Romano Cheese Grated

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet

    Peel and gently press garlic
  4. 4
    Add garlic and red pepper flakes

    Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and tear the basil into small pieces

    Add cherry tomatoes and basil to the skillet

    Simmer for 5 minutes

    Season with salt

    Discard garlic cloves

    Cook pasta according to package directions

    Drain and toss with sauce

    Garnish with freshly grated Romano cheese
