At your next dinner date, be your ‘zest’ self, and try out this Barilla Heart Shaped Love Pasta with Lemon Chicken. Every bite has a bright and tangy flavour. Don’t forget to add freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese atop your beautiful plate for a notable umami flavour!

Ingredients 6 Number of Servings

1 box Barilla Heart Shaped Love Pasta (or Barilla pasta shape of choice)

3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 lb chicken breast, medium diced

1/4 cup dry white wine

3/4 cup chicken broth

3 tbsp butter

1 tsp Tuscan seasoning

2 oz organic spinach

2 tbsp lemon juice

1/4 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated, divided

1/4 cup parsley, chopped

Sea salt and black pepper to taste

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. 

  • Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat add olive oil and garlic. Cook for 15-30 seconds then add chicken. Sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until cooked through and remove from the skillet. 

  • Deglaze pan with wine and reduce it by half. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

  • Return chicken to the pan and add butter, Tuscan seasoning, spinach, lemon juice, parsley and ½ of the cheese. 

  • Drain pasta and add to the sauce. Mix well and top with remaining cheese.
