Make Capellini simple, light and full of flavour!
In need of a simple and light dinner idea that’s full of flavour? This Barilla Capellini recipe with cherry tomatoes and sweet peppers is calling your name. It’s only six ingredients, entirely vegan, and always al-dente.
Ingredients 5 Number of Servings
1 box Barilla Capellini pasta
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, sliced
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 28 oz can of strained tomato
10 basil leaves, sliced
TT salt and black pepper
Place a pot of water to boil, cook Barilla Capellini pasta al dente, according to packaging directions.
In as skillet infuse garlic with olive oil over medium heat for two minutes until it starts frying.
Add peppers, sauté three minutes.
Stir in tomatoes, bring to boil, season with salt and pepper.
Add 1 cup pasta cooking water to tomato sauce, simmer for five more minutes.
Drain pasta 1 minute earlier and toss with sauce over high heat.
Stir in basil.
