You've tried regular pesto, but have you tried kale pesto? It uses the same ingredients as basil pesto, but with added flavour and health benefits from the kale. Mix it with your al dente Barilla Farfalle, shrimp, and you've got yourself a fabulous fresh side dish or appetizer.

Ingredients 4 Number of Servings

1 box Barilla Farfalle pasta

1/2 cup pasta water, plus 2 tbsp set aside, as required

2 tbsp salted butter

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 Bosc pear, grated

1 shallot, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp chili flakes

1/2 cup 35% cream, 

125g gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

2 tbsp freshly grated parmesan cheese

1/8 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp finely chopped parsley

2 tbsp chopped toasted walnuts

Optional: basil for garnish
