Ready Pasta Penne w/ Galbani Cheese, Bacon & Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

Ingredients for 8 people

  • 1 pouch Barilla® Ready Pasta Penne
  • 1 cup (340 g) chopped onion
  • 1 can (2-1/4 oz.) (64 g) sliced black olives drained
  • 1 cup (8 oz/340 g) Galbani Pizza Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 pound (227 g) bacon crumbled
  • 2 jars mushroom-flavoured tomato pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup (85 g) freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 1 tablespoon (15 mL) chopped parsley

    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F

    Heat Barilla Ready Pasta Penne in microwave for 1 minute and add to pot

    Heat bacon and onion in large skillet over medium-high heat
  4. 4
    Heat Barilla Ready Pasta Penne in microwave for 1 minute and add to pot

    Stir in Mushroom Sauce and olives
  6. 6
    Reduce heat to medium low; simmer 5 minutes

    ADD sauce mixture and Parmesan cheese to hot pasta; toss

    Pour into greased 13" x 9" -inch baking dish; cover

    BAKE 20 minutes then uncover

    Sprinkle Galbani Pizza Mozzarella Shredded Cheese over past; continue baking 5 to 7 minutes, or until cheese is melted
