Ingredients

Ingredients for 2 people       

  • 160g Barilla® Spaghetti
  • 80g Guanciale
  • 50g Onion
  • 25ml Extra virgin olive oil
  • 250g Tomatoes
  • Salt and chilli pepper (to taste)
  • 30g Pecorino Romano, grated

Instructions

  • Cut bacon into strips and sauté in a frying pan with a table spoon of extra virgin olive oil. When cooked, remove and set aside
  • In the same pan cook finely minced onion until soft, and add chilli pepper
  • Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water for 30 seconds, cool in ice cold water, peel and remove seeds
  • Cut the tomatoes into strips, then mix with onion and guanciale. Salt and finish cooking
  • Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water, drain and sauté in a frying pan with the sauce
  • Spread with grated Pecorino cheese.
