Crock Pot Spicy Marinara sauce with Butternut Squash

Knowing dinner’s ready the second you walk in the door makes a long work day that much easier.

Servings: 8 people

1 box medium shells
1 jar spicy marinara sauce
1 medium butternut squash, small diced
4 cups water
salt and black pepper to taste
1 18oz can white beans
10 basil leaves, sliced thin
½ cup Parmigiano cheese, grated

1. In a large crock pot, combine spicy marinara sauce, butternut squash and water, cook over low heat for 8 hours
2. Once cooked increase the heat to high and add the shells
3. Cook the pasta in the crock pot for 45 minutes or until al dente
4. Turn off the heat and stir in the white beans, basil and Parmigiano Cheese
