The Health Benefits of the Mediterranean Diet and Lifestyle

Fun Fact: Overall obesity levels in Italy have remained relatively low because of the Mediterranean diet, which includes plenty of pasta! Barilla has partnered with the Town Hall of Parma, the University of Parma, the Regional School District Office and two local sport associations in order to educate on the diet and lifestyle of the Mediterranean Diet. This education, called the Giocampus programme, includes physical exercise, the environmental impact of food and the basics of a healthy diet. Their goal is to educate children early in hopes of forming lifelong healthy habits.
