Qualifying Event for 2019 Pasta World Championship
On April 11, Barilla hosted the U.S. Qualifying Event to select the chef who will go on to represent the U.S. at Barilla's Pasta World Championship competition in Paris in October. Eight up-and-coming young chefs who were selected by Food & Wine magazine went head-to-head during the opening night of the 12th annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival. Sean Turner, executive chef of Louie in Clayton, Mo., won the competition and earned the coveted title of U.S. Master of Pasta and private chef Brandon Rosen was the People's Choice winner.
