Fettuccine with Cream, Pesto & Peas
This fettuccine recipe features sautéed onion, heavy cream, rustic basil pesto, peas and parmesan cheese.
Ingredients 8 Servings
- 1 box Barilla® Fettuccine pasta
- 1 jar Barilla® Rustic Basil Pesto
- ½ onion, chopped
- 2 cups green peas, frozen
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated
- Black pepper to taste
Bring a large pot of water to a boil; cook pasta according to package directions.
Meanwhile, in a skillet sauté onion for two minutes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil from the top of the jar of pesto.
Add peas and cream, bring to a boil and season with a bit of black pepper.
Drain pasta and toss with creamy sauce, stir in pesto and cheese, mix well, and serve immediately.
