Ingredients for 8 people 

  • 1 box Barilla® Penne
  • 1 jar Barilla® Tuscan Herb Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 pound Italian Sausage
  • 1/2 cup Red Wine
  • 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Italian Parsley Chopped  


  • In a large skillet, heat the extra virgin olive oil

  • Add the Italian sausage and brown well

  •  Deglaze with red wine and season with salt and black pepper
  •  Add the Barilla® Tuscan Herb Sauce and bring to a simmer
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil, season with salt
  • Add the pasta and cook according to package directions
  •   Drain and toss with the sauce and shredded cheese
  •    Sprinkle with parsley before serving
