Barilla® Penne

with Tuscan Herb Sauce, Italian Sausage & Red Wine



Ingredients for 8 people 

  • 1 box Barilla® Penne
  • 1 jar Barilla® Tuscan Herb Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 pound Italian Sausage
  • 1/2 cup Red Wine
  • 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Italian Parsley Chopped

    In a large skillet, heat the extra virgin olive oil

    Add the Italian sausage and brown well

     Deglaze with red wine and season with salt and black pepper
  4. 4
     Add the Barilla® Tuscan Herb Sauce and bring to a simmer

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil, season with salt
  6. 6
    Add the pasta and cook according to package directions
  7. 7
      Drain and toss with the sauce and shredded cheese
  8. 8
       Sprinkle with parsley before serving
