Barilla® Lemony Brussels Sprouts Pasta
with Feta Cheese

Ingredients for 8 people
- 1 box Barilla® Medium Shells
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups Brussels sprouts, halved
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 jar Barilla® Tuscan Herb sauce
- 3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 8 fresh lemon wedges
- Lemon zest (optional)
1In a large pot bring 4 to 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil; add salt to taste and pasta; stir gently.
2Cook pasta according to package directions; remove from heat and drain well.
3Meanwhile, heat oil in a very large skillet over medium heat. Add Brussels sprouts, cut side down; cover and cook 5 minutes or until golden brown. Uncover and carefully add water and lemon zest to skillet. Cover and cook 5 minutes more or until Brussels sprouts are tender when pierced with a fork.
4Add sauce to Brussels sprouts and gently stir to combine. Heat through over low heat. Stir in pasta and feta. Sprinkle with additional zest, if desired.
5Serve with fresh lemon wedges.
6Customize it: Boost the lemon flavor by adding fresh lemon zest along with the juice. For a delightful crunch, top with crushed pistachios. A swirl of Sriracha brings a kick of spice.
