Barilla® ProteinPLUS® Elbows Baked with Cheese, Olives & Basil

Ingredients

Ingredients for 7 people
  • 1 box Barilla® ProteinPLUS® Elbows
  • 1 jar Barilla® Marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 16 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Kalamata Pitted Olives (may substitute black olives) halved
  • 1/3 cup Romano cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Basil chopped
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese divided Shredded

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil
  3. 3
    Lightly grease a 9x13-inch glass baking dish
  4. 4
    Combine olive oil, Marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, olives, Romano cheese, basil and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese in a large glass bowl

    Mix well
  6. 6
    Cook pasta according to package cooking time
  7. 7
    Drain and add to glass bowl

    Mix well

    Spoon mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish

    Top with remaining mozzarella cheese

    Bake for 20-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly
