Barilla® ProteinPLUS® Farfalle

with Three Peppers & Italian Herbs



Ingredients for 7 people
  • 1 box Barilla® ProteinPlus® Farfalle
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups white onions sliced
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme divided
  • 1 cup green bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup red bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup yellow bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh Italian parsley chopped

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil
  2. 2
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
  3. 3
    Add onions and 1 sprig of fresh thyme
  4. 4
    Sauté 5 minutes
  5. 5
    Cook Farfalle according to package directions
  6. 6
    Add peppers and water to skillet, season with salt and pepper
  7. 7
    Sauté an additional 10 minutes or until peppers are tender
  8. 8
    Drain pasta, add to the skillet, and toss
  9. 9
    Sprinkle with remaining thyme, chopped parsley and serve
