Barilla® ProteinPLUS® Farfalle

with Tuscan Herb Sauce, Brussels Sprouts, Butternut Squash & Romano Cheese



Ingredients for 7 people
  • 1 box Barilla® ProteinPLUS® Farfalle
  • 1 jar Barilla®Tuscan Herb Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ lb quartered Brussels sprouts
  • 1 ea small diced butternut squash
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Romano cheese
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • ½ cup water

    Bring a large and small pot of water to a boil
  2. 2
    Blanch the Brussels sprouts in small pot and cool down, quarter
  3. 3
    In a large skillet saute butternut squash in olive oil until slightly browned
  4. 4
    Add quartered brussel sprouts and sear on all sides
  5. 5
    Add chopped garlic and saute for 1 minute
  6. 6
    Add Sauce and water, bring to a simmer
  7. 7
    Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and toss with sauce Toss with cheese and parsley to finish
