Ingredients

Ingredients for 4 people      
  • 1 box Barilla® ProteinPLUS® Penne
  • ½ cup Barilla® Tomato & Basil Sauce
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon Red Chili Pepper Flakes
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 1 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese freshly grated

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil
  • Cook pasta according to package directions
  • Add broccoli during last 2 minutes of cooking time, then drain
  • Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan
  • Add Tomato & Basil Sauce, salt and red pepper flakes
  • Simmer 2 minutes over medium heat
  • Stir in milk, warm gently over low heat
  • Remove from heat
  • Add cheese and stir
  • Toss sauce with pasta and broccoli
  • Serve immediately
