with Tomato & Basil Sauce, Romano Cheese & Pine Nuts

Ingredients for 7 people

  • 1 box Barilla® ProteinPLUS® Spaghetti
  • 1 jar Barilla® Tomato & Basil Sauce
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil
  2. 2
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté crushed red pepper and pine nuts about 2-3 minutes or until pine nuts are golden
  3. 3
    Add sauce to skillet; heat through
  4. 4
    Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta, reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water
  5. 5
    Add hot pasta to sauce; stir in reserved pasta water as needed. Add cheese; mix well

    Transfer to a serving platter or bowl and serve
