Simple summer pasta salads are the perfect addition to your picnic table. The pasta can be made ahead of time by cooking one minute less than the package directions and spread out on a baking sheet and tossing with olive oil. Once the pasta is cooled it can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge until you need to assemble your pasta salad.

Ingredients 8 Servings

Ingredients for Farfalle Green Pasta Salad:

  • 1 box Barilla® Farfalle pasta
  • 1 jar Barilla® Creamy Genovese Pesto
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup mozzarella, diced
  • ½ cup multi-color cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup small green peas, thawed
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook pasta 1 minute less than package directions, drain, toss with olive oil, and cool down on a sheet tray. 
  • Meanwhile, in a large bowl toss all ingredients. Add pasta, season with salt and pepper and serve.
