Ingredients for Sausage & Mushroom Pesto Pizza:

  • ½ jar Barilla® Rustic Basil Pesto
  • 2 pre-baked pizza crust
  • 1 pint multi-color cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ pound cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 6 ounces cooked cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated
  • 8 ounces goat cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, sliced thin
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

  • Preheat oven to 425° F. spread pesto on pizza crusts. 
  • In a skillet over medium-heat add olive oil and mushrooms. Cook for 2-3 minutes and then add sausage. Cook sausage until done, 2-3 minutes.

  • Top pizza crusts with sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, and goat cheese. Bake until cheese is melted and browned, about 8 to 10 minutes. Garnish with Parmigiano cheese and basil.
