- 4 ounces Barilla® Rustic Basil Pesto
- 8 slices crusty multigrain bread
- 4 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup baby kale leaves
- 8 ounces sliced Fontina Cheese
- 1 Granny smith apple, sliced thin into rounds

Instructions
- Heat a 12 inch skillet over medium
- Spread one side of each slice of bread with butter
- On the inside of each slice, spread 1 to 2 tablespoons pesto. Top half the slices with the baby kale, Fontina cheese and sliced apple. Top with the remaining bread slices
- Cook in skillet until well browned, add the remaining butter to the skillet and flip each sandwich. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sandwich is browned
